HANDLING
REJECTION
This is always tough for most of us.
We all have and will receive rejection letters. You cannot take it personally if they do not
think you are a fit or match for the job.
You have to move on. It is
possible in some cases to ask why you did not get a job and this can be a
learning experience or a positive you take away.
No matter how
good the fit seems between you and a job, it is always possible that you will
not get it. It is possible that the
chemistry between you and the hiring authorities is simply wrong. Perhaps you are lucky that you did not get
it. HOW DO YOU HANDLE ALL OF THIS?
BE KIND TO YOURSELF:
Don’t beat yourself up. In fact,
be nice to yourself. You may be lucky
that you did not get the job no matter how right it seemed to be for you. THE LAW OF PLACEMENT IS ALWAYS IN
EFFECT. Everyone must be somewhere all
of the time and most likely you were not meant to be in this position. THE RIGHT ONE WILL COME ALONG.
TRY THE FOLLOWING IF YOU ARE DOWN ABOUT NOT GETTING A
JOB:
● Be
with positive people who are upbeat.
● Watch a funny movie or lose yourself in a favorite video.
● Take a long walk or go work out at the gym.
● Have lunch with your best friend.
● Read favorite books or passages that are
comforting to you.
● Take a drive in the mountains.
● Read the Bible.
● TALK WITH GOD. Ask Him for comfort and to provide you with
career direction.
